"Must have Apps for the iPad".

Pages: Pages has everything you need to create and share documents, including beautiful Apple-designed templates, easy-to-use formatting options, and advanced layout tools. Start with the perfect template, create your document from scratch using your choice of colors, fonts, and textures, or import a Pages ’09, Microsoft Word or text file.This is a must app for anyone who writes anything. It’s $9.99 so cheap it is not.  But for on the go you have to have it check it out.

Evernote: The developers describe their app as a way to put your thoughts, ideas, inspiration, and things to remember all in one place. Use Evernote for work, for play, and for everything that’s noteworthy.an extension of your brain”. This app comes very handy in a teachers’ busy life as it allows us to create notes, take photos and record audio wherever we are. Notes, snapshots and recordings in your Evernote instantly synchronize from your iPad or iPhone to your computer. What I love about this app is that I have access to everything I put on it always on all my devises.

Keynote: This as has everything you need to create awesome presentations, included are Apple’s themes, custom graphic styles, and cool animations and effects. Keynote can be opened in Keynote 09 or Microsoft PowerPoint.

Notesplus: The developers describe Noteplus as “mixing handwriting and typed text easily for note taking on iPad. It also allows sound recording while taking notes. It auto detects drawing shapes to make perfect vector drawing shapes. It provides close-up writing mode and a line smoothing algorithm to make hand writing looks like hand writing on paper.” This is a very detailed app and can be used for anything you can think of.

Instapaper: This app allows you to easily save them for later, when you do have time, so you don’t just forget about them or skim through them. It’s just that simple and very handle.

Blogsy: This app is a tool for all you bloggers. Easy to use and great to look at but the power is in the features it has such as: drop and drag pictures, drop and drag videos, drop and drag from the web, and supports Blogger and Wordpress.

These are just a few, “obviously”, apps that are great to be used by educators.  These are my most used apps and thought I would share. You can find unlimited resources on these apps and on more apps if you just spend 15 seconds searching the web.
